Independent hip-hop artists Rey Spyder and Saec Money continue their productive 2026 campaigns with their latest collaborative EP, “Foot On Their Neck.” Both artists have maintained a consistent schedule throughout the year, releasing multiple projects, singles, and videos while continuing to build their respective catalogs. This time, the two emcees join forces for a concise five-song release that gets straight to the point.
The project opens with “When It Rains,” a track that samples 50 Cent’s record of a similar title. Rey Spyder immediately makes it his own, weaving references to multiple Curtis Jackson songs throughout his verse while maintaining the gritty delivery that listeners have come to expect from him. Saec Money follows with a bravado-driven verse backed by unshakable confidence. The duo’s chemistry is immediate, with both artists approaching the track from different angles while maintaining the same hard-edged energy.
“Slaughter” takes that aggression even further. The track is a heat check for the eardrums, delivering an unforgiving barrage of bars with little room for resolution. Rey Spyder and Saec Money put listeners front and center with a menacing display of aggression, allowing the intensity of their performances to carry the record from beginning to end.
On “Full Clip,” the duo comes out firing once again. The relentless energy continues as both artists remain unapologetic and completely in their element. They make no attempts to soften the edges or disguise what they bring to the table. Instead, they embrace the confrontational nature and continue the onslaught established earlier in the EP.
But if you thought Rey Spyder and Saec Money weren’t going to show versatility on “Foot On Their Neck,” you would be dead wrong. The final two tracks, “Life Is Beautiful” and “Forever (ft. X-el),” provide a different perspective. Rather than focusing solely on external aggression, the duo looks inward while reflecting on life, adversity, and everything worth appreciating.
Through the difficult moments and turbulence, both artists find something to be thankful for. These records balance the EP, revealing another side of Rey Spyder and Saec Money that might otherwise get lost beneath the intensity of earlier tracks.
Ultimately, “Foot On Their Neck” works because of that contrast. Like two sides of the same coin, the EP shifts between external aggression and internal introspection, allowing Rey Spyder and Saec Money to showcase different dimensions of their artistry without stretching the project beyond its five-song format. It’s built around two artists who clearly understand how to unifiy different energies while keeping their individual identities intact.
