Posted by Virginia artist Harman 2x delivers a personal account of adversity, betrayal, and loyalty on his latest single “You Tried,” produced by Shiesty Beatz. After totaling his brand-new Lincoln MKZ in a car wreck, Harman 2x walked away from the accident unscathed. Rather than letting the experience slow him down, he headed straight to the recording studio 30 minutes later, using the incident as creative fuel for his artistry.
Recorded that same evening, “You Tried” is pain music at its core, blending melodic trap elements with subject matter rooted in street politics and the challenges of navigating difficult circumstances. On the track, Harman 2x reflects on the obstacles that test a person’s character when the stakes are high, and everything is on the line.
With “You Tried,” Harman 2x offers listeners a glimpse into the experiences and mindset behind his music. Balancing melodic trap with the weight of real-life challenges, the Virginia artist delivers a record for people who understand that setbacks are just part of the journey.
