Yung MIDI, an acronym for meditation, introspection, dedication, and intellect, is a rising producer from Lakewood, Ohio. His musical journey commenced at a young age, nurtured by his involvement in the school choir through middle and high school. During his formative years, he tentatively explored the art of rapping and began writing rhymes in the 9th grade, but never fully immersed himself.

However, MIDI’s trajectory shifted when he pursued studies in Recording Arts. It was within the confines of Intro To MIDI 101 that the stars aligned, revealing his true calling: producing and later engineering. His beats emerged with vigor, defined by their rapid tempo, accented by elements of trap, chopped samples, and classic boom-bap vibes. But MIDI’s artistic soundscape isn’t confined to a single groove. Like a master of adaptation, he shifts between sounds, venturing into uncharted territories whenever inspiration strikes.

A standout achievement in Yung MIDI’s highlight reel came from collaborating with a frequent creative, upcoming rapper McNabb. Stepping out of his usual role, he assumed the responsibilities of mixing and mastering McNabb’s latest single, “Aint Believe It,” showcasing his versatility behind the boards. The Usama Azhar-produced track is a testament to the power of networking. Don’t miss the mash-up video for “Aint Believe It,” crafted by MIDIChlorian, now available on YouTube.

In addition to his collaborative endeavors, Yung MIDI recently unveiled a beat tape entitled “Spring Will Come.” The title isn’t merely a phrase; it’s a mantra, a beacon of hope amidst the darkness of seasonal depression. As someone intimately acquainted with its subtle grip, MIDI’s beat tape serves as a reminder that even in the darkest of times, the sun will rise again. Through his music, he aims to uplift spirits, infusing each track with the promise of renewal and the assurance that brighter days lie ahead.

Looking to end 2024 on a high note, Yung MIDI and McNabb have some more work cooking up in the lab for listeners. Stay tuned for all future updates! For more music-related news and business inquiries, follow Yung MIDI by clicking the links below.
