Rice is an artist/songwriter from Webster, Massachusetts, who began creating music in 2017. Being separated from his family, he searched for a creative outlet to help fill the void and found one when his foster brother suggested songwriting as a form of therapy. As a college freshman, he joined the poetry club and was astonished by the crowd’s engagement during each performance.

Looking to create music with a purpose, Rice set out to make every song feel like a journey of personal growth. Shining a light on various issues by viewing them from a different perspective, he used his artistic expression as a medium that connected his listeners to his music on a meaningful level.

His newest release, “New Jack,” is a song off his upcoming project, “Love Shouldn’t Cost A Thing.” Out with the old and in with the new, “New Jack” focuses on self-improvement while separating yourself from certain people who may be unintentionally stunting your growth. Rice would like to send a special shout-out to WOA Entertainment Group for their outstanding marketing, promotion, and support of his song “Starz,” featured on “The Worldbeat Project” (66th Grammy FYC). Catch him performing at the STARS of the Spectrum: 25th Anniversary Celebration at Fenway Park. The show will air on Boston’s WCVB Channel 5 on 10/1 and 10/15 at 1:30 p.m. EST.
