Even the production behind “Broken Compass Collective” has a story of its own. Earlier this year, artist/producer Blonju released a 13-track beat tape titled King of Chop, inviting emcees to use the instrumentation as the foundation for an album of their own. Euphonic Aspekt immediately embraced the challenge, recognizing an opportunity to build a body of work around Blonju’s production. Six months later, that creative exchange has evolved into “Broken Compass Collective,” transforming a collection of beats into a fully realized album.
“Broken Compass Collective” expands beyond Euphonic Aspekt’s solo presence, featuring contributions from R.E.A.L.252, TRP, and multiple appearances by Blonju. Each collaborator adds another perspective to an album built around detailed lyricism and carefully constructed production.
