The Los Angeles-based emcee and Killah Priest (of the Wu-Tang) affiliate Crip Jesus has released “Watts Prophet,” the first single and video from his wildly anticipated forthcoming album, Blu Tang Forever, arriving July 11, 2026.

Inspired by The Watts Prophets’ Amde Hamilton, the song is a street sermon on survival, trauma, knowledge, and rebirth. Produced by Nitro-Geez (IG: @getthatmoneytv), the record finds Crip Jesus connecting the blocks of Los Angeles to ancient history, proving that the struggle and the wisdom have always traveled together.

Touching on gang culture, community trauma, African origins, spirituality, and resurrection, Crip Jesus delivers a message rooted in hard-earned experience and elevated thought. Rather than glorifying the streets, he examines the scars they leave behind while pointing toward growth, knowledge, and transformation.

Known for blending West Coast street narratives with esoteric teachings, Crip Jesus continues to carve out his own lane with a style that is equal parts street testimony, spoken-word tradition, and underground Hip Hop.

The video for “Watts Prophet” was filmed by Mykel.Sahih (IG: @Mykel.Sahih), with graphics by FreeslaveCato (IG: @shotbyhigherselfmedia). Tap in today and get acquainted! For more music-related news and all future releases, follow Crip Jesus by clicking the links below.
