Tundra approaches hip-hop with the mindset of being a craftsman of the culture, grounded in principles rather than passing trends. Since 2007, the East Williamsburg, Brooklyn artist has been recording professionally, using music as a vehicle for documentation, reflection, and instruction. As a recording artist, songwriter, and videographer, his work is designed to communicate lived experience rather than chasing momentary attention.
Tundra’s music is often rooted in boom-bap, drawing influence from artists such as The Doxxmen, Livin Proof, Geda K, Joell Ortiz, GWash169, Meyhem Lauren, andElzhi. His sound blends street wisdom with spiritual awareness, favoring substance over spectacle. While he’s comfortable stepping into trap or club-oriented records when the moment calls for it, his primary focus is to translate real-life lessons into lasting records.

After years of sharpening his craft, Tundra is preparing to release his debut album, “Tundra Season,” slated for a late February drop. The project features production from Auraveli, Blaq Medici, Brian Spirits of Milan, Italy, and Agallah The Don, assembling a soundscape that aligns with Tundra’s disciplined, lyric-first approach.
The self-titled lead single is now available on all digital streaming platforms, serving as a strong entry point for new listeners to tap into his lyrical prowess and measured delivery. Building further momentum ahead of the album’s official release,Tundra is also gearing up to drop a second single, “State of Warning,” featuring Queensbridge legend Nature. All releases fall under his MySmokeGame LLC/Maximedia label imprint, distributed courtesy of Roc Nation Distribution.
Maintaining his creative momentum into 2026, Tundra is already planning the release of a follow-up project titled “The Art of Raw: By Tun Tzu,” a conceptual flip on Sun Tzu’s The Art of War. The project is expected to reflect themes from the iconic text, translating strategy, discipline, and awareness into a raw, street-level hip-hop framework.
In addition to new music, Tundra continues to expand his visual portfolio, directing and filming new music videos, with visuals for Tundra Season already in development. For those interested in his work behind the camera, check out “All Call Outs” by G Washington, filmed by M-Tundra himself.
