Belgian hip-hop artist Cyclus (pronounced Sick-less) embodies the term independent. As the founder of his Genetic25 label, he handles every part of his creative process: writing, rapping, producing, beatmaking, and graphic design. What began in his youth, shaped by the influences of Ice-T, Tupac, Eminem, and Dr. Dre’s unmistakable production style, has grown into a fully self-sustained artistic identity.

In September 2025, Cyclus returned with a new offering: “Testament Of A Dreamer,” a four-song EP that runs under 10 minutes but delivers emotional weight beyond its length. The project’s standout track, “Pages from the Notebook,” marks a pivotal moment in his catalog. According to Cyclus, it is the most defining record he’s ever released; a space where he allows himself to be fully transparent about his life, his music, and the thoughts he usually keeps tucked away.
“Pages from the Notebook” pulls listeners into a diary-like confession where each bar feels like a written entry. For Cyclus, writing this record became a form of relief, an honest release that allowed him to speak his truth without limitation. For an artist who does everything himself, this project reinforces the power of creative freedom and the courage it takes to speak your truth.
