Growing up in a musically inclined family, he drew early inspiration from watching his father, Xicano Vega, and his cousins craft songs from scratch. By the 5th grade, during the Covid-19 pandemic, he was already orchestrating his own soundscapes and developing the skills that would define his style.
After five years of refining his craft, Vic Vega makes his official introduction with “Outside,” a six-song EP inspired by Quentin Tarantino’s cult classic Reservoir Dogs. Each track is named after one of the film’s iconic characters, representing the project’s guest features: Chop The Father, DFD Baby Lee, Mic Garza, Xicano Vega, and Vic Vega himself.
Short but impactful, “Outside” wastes no time getting straight to the essence. The project pairs gritty drum work with soulful sample chops, setting the stage for each emcee to showcase their lyrical sharpness. Together, they exemplify the creative synergy and raw authenticity that define the contemporary Texas hip-hop landscape. Looking ahead to 2026, Vic Vega is already planning his next move. He’s gearing up for another project featuring a new roster of emcees, expanding his network and sound.
