Originally from Bridgeport, Connecticut, artist/producer Broken Sword has been sharpening his craft for over 25 years. His natural gift for freestyling at a young age drew him to the culture, where he eventually joined the group Ghetto Link as a teenager. Years of dedication have shaped his distinctive style into one as refined and precise as the edge of a wakizashi.

His newly released project, “Legend of The Broken Sword,” is an 11-track album steeped in kung fu influence and cinematic flair. From the opening moments, listeners are pulled into a world of discipline, legend, and lyrical mastery. “Shogun Apprentice wastes no time setting the tone, with expert cuts by DJ K-Flip slicing through the soundscape. The track delivers the energy of a training session straight out of the 36 Chambers, blending the classic essence of hip-hop with martial arts precision.

On “Super Ninas,” Broken Sword assembles an elite squad of shinobi warriors (Supreme Allah, Funckshaun, Popi Rojas, Jus Wise, and Noble Ruffin), each bringing their own unique technique to the posse cut. The track stands as a powerful reminder that strength multiplies in numbers.

The album also boasts a strong lineup of guest appearances, including Maylansky of Wu-Syndicate on Yakuza,” Raiz Da Novelis on Eagle and The Crane,” Jus Wise on Army of Two,” and Funckshaun on Bleeding Steel.” Adding to the mix, DJ K-Flip returns with additional cuts on Evil Corruption,” further enhancing the project’s gritty atmosphere.

Legend of The Broken Sword” stands as proof that true craftsmanship never dulls. In time, it grows even more refined when wielded by a master of ceremony.
