Peace World! I am Lord Savagethe3rd aka Lethal Ferguson aka Polaroid Floyd. I am Southern California’s secret underground weapon of choice. I emcee as if my life depends on it, alongside managing, creating, and mapping out all my social media content, which consists of directing, shooting, editing, and coming up with visual treatments for all my music over the past 7 years or so.
Your music often feels like urban cinematography, with street narratives that hit authentically. How much of your inspiration comes from real-life experiences and your surroundings?
In regard to my real life being used as inspiration in my music. Yes, I do use a great deal of my own life and events to create an audio landscape to captivate listeners, alongside using my friends, family, and associates’ life struggles and triumphs as well.
Earlier this year, you released “Water Proof Uzis,” which had a gritty, cohesive sound. Did you work with a single producer on the project, or did you collaborate with a team to bring it to life?
I collaborated with beat producers Jawnson & Homage to create the project alongside The Almighty DJ Rek, who mixed & mastered the entire project.
You recently teamed up with Maison De Funk for the release of “Live Life Savage.” What can listeners expect from this project?
Listeners can expect to experience nothing but the most sophisticated caviar for the eardrums money can buy. A relentless audio discography of uncompromising quality & sincerity.
What are your plans for the remainder of the year? Any new music, videos, or shows on the horizon?
I have a single with Big Twin entitled “Stolen Plates“ from the album “Water Proof Uzis,” alongside releasing a new single off my upcoming project “Snakes y Barracudas,” featuring Crimeapple, with production by DJ Who. This joint will also be accompanied by a music video.
Outside of all that, I am working around the clock on a few projects simultaneously. One in particular includes production exclusively from Dead Beat Donnie, with yet another collaborative project with DJ Rek & Jawnson that’ll feature Pro Dillinger and Estee Nack.
