When Miami’s own Foreword Nation met Macho Perez, a New Jersey native who moved to the city in 2018 in search of a fresh start, it was clear their meeting was no coincidence. What began as a casual bond over their mutual love for the Miami Hurricanes quickly grew into a brotherhood rooted in faith and music.
Conflicting schedules kept their musical collaboration on hold for over two years. Life moved fast, but the spark never faded. They stayed connected, trusting that when the time was right, the music would come. That time finally arrived when everything seemed to slow down just enough for God to step in and align the pieces. What once seemed like a delay was, in truth, divine preparation.

Their long-awaited track, “Por Ahi,” delivers a bold reminder rooted in scripture: the devil lurks and doesn’t rest. Inspired by 1 Peter 5:8—“Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour”—the song confronts the harsh reality that spiritual warfare is constant. Foreword Nation and Macho Perez use this verse as the backbone of the track, crafting lyrics that reflect the spiritual battles believers face daily.
The original version of “Por Ahi” was built on a darker, moodier soundscape, but Foreword Nation and Macho Perez sensed the record had more depth to explore. They believed the message deserved a sound that matched its spiritual weight and emotional urgency. That’s when a moment of divine timing struck. While scrolling through Instagram, Foreword Nation came across a video of a producer named Hossein effortlessly playing the violin with passion and precision.
After a brief introduction, Hossein responded without hesitation. What followed was a seamless collaboration. Hossein took the vision and elevated it, crafting a beat that blended hard-hitting drums with uplifting energy. The new instrumental gave “Por Ahi” the atmosphere it was missing—something that felt urgent yet sonically rich, striking a powerful balance between intensity and musicality.
“Por Ahi” is streaming on all major digital platforms. Be sure to give it a listen, then head to YouTube to check out the official music video, directed and edited by Ace Alvidres. For more music-related news and future releases, follow Foreword Nation and Macho Perez by clicking the links below.
As Christian rappers, we don’t just make music—we live it out. Outside of music and evangelizing, I walk out my faith daily through my role as a public servant, serving my community with purpose. Macho is deeply involved in the juvenile justice system in both Miami and Fort Lauderdale. These young people are facing battles not just in the physical realm, but in the spiritual.
